When Jitsi makes sense
If video is central to how your business runs and you care about where the data lives, or if you want to drop calls into your existing tools without a separate SaaS subscription, self-hosted Jitsi is a better fit than Zoom or Google Meet. It works well for teams that need ad-hoc internal calls, client meetings where brand consistency matters, and communities that want video built into their forum or member area.
What we set up
Branded meeting rooms
Colors, logo, and a domain that matches your brand, so calls feel like an extension of your site, not a separate tool. Meetings live at a predictable URL like meet.yourdomain.com.
Access and moderation
Password-protected rooms, waiting rooms, moderator controls, and optional single sign-on through your existing identity provider. You decide who can start a call and who can join.
Embedded in your site
Calls can embed directly inside Discourse, a member portal, or any page you control. When someone starts a meeting from a thread, the link posts automatically and access follows the forum's permissions.
Recording without the third party
Optional recording goes straight to storage we manage for you, not to a third-party cloud like Zoom's or Google's. Retention periods and sharing rules are yours to set.
